I don't want to do homework and am in an art block
Good combo for some epic boredom.

Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1.) How you thought of their name.
2.) What made you create the character in the first place.
3.) How the character has changed over time (If they have changed).

The Original 6

1) Basil = Her initial name way back when was Alice but I thought that was a bit to common. I was having trouble thinking of a new name and kept reverting to Alice by default, until one day I was helping my mom cook and guess which spice I picked up.
-Spiral was created around Basil in the essence that I came up with her before I came up with Basil. It was back in middle school and I wanted to draw me and two of my friends as a superhero trio. It was all for fun and drawing practice but I got attached and built up around them, giving different personalities at first. Basil was supposed to be the "Me" of the trio, but over the years I've almost completely broken that off, the only things similar would be that she despises bugs and is a coward.
-Well she's pretty much done a 180 from the time I first made her. Her name appearance, age and personality are all completely different. She used to be "Mary Sue" like when she was first created. Not anymore C:
- She's got huge ears, her mother is a stingy money lover and her father is a chill small business owner. She's an only child and has a talent for whistling.

2) Kaeto = the name has gone through many changes spelling wise, and I have tried to change it all together multiple times but I just end up going back to this xp I actually came up with it while playing Pokemon Sapphire. I was having trouble finding a name for him at the time, back in middle school days, and I started thinking of the Kanto region and derived it from that XD
- Basil needed a male counterpart, because Spiral, at it's core is a love story so he had to be made.
- He used to be more of a jerk in the beginning without any valid reason, but now he's adopted the persona of "The Foolish Prince". He's become more prideful and stubborn and sarcastic, but more loyal at the same time. Pretty much major personality overhaul :iconyeshplz:
-He doesn't like whistling, can play an array of musical instruments and really likes cats.

3)Noel = One of my "Original Trio" she needed a name that started with N since she took after whose name also starts with an N. And I realized that Noel means Christmas and that's my favorite holiday :]
-Already explained in Basils part. She was a part of the trio of characters that represented me and my two friends.
- She's become far more outlandish and headstrong. Her breast size has also gone down quite a bit >} Also, she's more of a sadist than she was when I first created her. Hates the color yellow.
- She's Basils best/childhood friends, has 2 older brothers and 1 younger one, is older than Basil by a couple a months, is extremely possessive, leader of her own group in the Spiral Skies story and can handle her alcohol but not sugar.

4) Darius = His name was initially Damien, than some other random thing that I could barely pronounce right so I just combined them and came up with this.
- I really wanted a "dark type" character and each girl in the "original trio" had to have a male opposite in my opinion. Thus Darius was created as Noels counterpart.
-His back story has become far more intricate and he's become more docile and open. His personality has matured a bit, though he's become the "shameless playboy" type and that makes Noel pissed to no end. He also has become more lazy with time.
-He's and insomniac, drinks lots of tea, likes sour things, is the Leader of Basils group in the Spiral Skies story and loves children (but doesn't show it often)

5) Shanks = Her name was just completely random. There was know real "thinking about it" process, I just wrote it down and it stuck for some reason.
- The last/shortest one in the "Original Trio", modeled after one of my shorter friends, though I didn't even try to make their names match up XD
-She's become less hyperactive and a bit more pessimistic. She's also become less of a main character (at least in the second half of the story) and instead works behind the scenes as Maxwells apprentice.
-She's related to Kurin but doesn't know it, is always exhausted (thanks to Maxwell), has wings (butterfly) but cannot fly, and enjoys dark humor.

6) Kurin = His name used to be something crazy until I was watching a music video by Corrine Bailey Ray and decided I liked her first name. So I just made it an "u-r" instead of "o-r".
-He was supposed to be the opposite of Shanks, and the "cutey boy" of the boy group, but that sorta changed a bit with time. Also I really wanted a boy OC with long hair. C:
-He's gotten taller, less "bubbly", more adventurous and his ears have changed style a few times.
- He was born with know gender out of an egg, his foster parents are Maxwell and Leone, his species is unknown, he can take the form/traits of any mammal that he seen or has touched, loves eggs and sweet things and no one know his actual age. He's also really close to another OC of mine, Lief, whose is pretty much the reptile version of him.
